Most of what the Christian Reformed Church teaches is held in common with believers around the world. As a denomination, however, we tend to emphasize some teachings. Three words that are prominent within the Reformed church are sovereignty, covenant, and kingdom.

Core Doctrine

  • We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • Creator of heaven and earth and all things seen and unseen.

  • God’s only Son, fully God and fully human, born of a virgin, our Lord and Savior.

  • Fully God, dwells in believers, guides us in truth, transforms our hearts, and empowers us to live for Christ.

  • The inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God, our ultimate authority for faith and life.
